The Story of Reconciliation
MacKillop Family Services provides support to some of the most vulnerable families in our communities. This project was to document the journey of MacKillop’s commitment to their Reconciliation Action Plan and create content that educates and connects staff to the people in the region.
Shot over nine days, we travelled over 2000kms to some of the most remote areas in Australia to document a meeting in each town, listening to both elders and locals within each community to insure MacKillop’s work with children and families continues to improve.
We also worked with local Indigenous people in each town to tell a story about their connection to culture and country.
The result from the videos was very positive and staff became more engaged and empathetic towards the plan and the communities in each region.
It is now shared throughout the company and has played a vital role in showing MacKillop’s commitment to their Reconciliation Action Plan.
